What is fanfiction? Fanfiction is fiction based on a film, television series, etc, which is written by fans. It gives writers the freedom to create their own storylines using characters/settings that already exist from the, in this case, television series. In the world of fanfiction, anything can happen! :) What is Young Americans about? Young Americans is a series that premiered on the Warner Bros Television network in the (US) summer of 2000. The series is a spin-off from Dawson's Creek, and is set in the lakeside New England town of New Rawley. Will, Jake, Hamilton, Bella and Scout (featured above, left to right) make up the main cast. How long did the series run for? The first series of Young Americans ran for eight episodes. Unfortunately, the WB made the decision not to continue the series for a second season.
